This is my kitten.
She was adopted by my friend on WeChat, and coincidentally his girlfriend also found a stray cow cat:
It's a stray that has been wandering for a long time.
She is really well-behaved, I don't know if it's because of her survival instinct that she is so affectionate. She will lean against you and curl up in your arms when you pick her up.
This cow cat is named Huawei, and since I have the conditions to raise a cat, I took in another American Shorthair. My friend named her Apple.
Just random names, my friend already had two cats at home, so with these two strays, there are now a total of four cats. Since the American Shorthair is an American breed, I thought of naming her Apple.
As for why I didn't choose Huawei, maybe I was a bit biased by appearances?
First night at home
This is a cat that was abandoned by its previous owner, so it started using the litter box as soon as it arrived home. It seems to have some habits from its previous owner, such as:
- Not eating when you hold the food in your hand, afraid of biting you
- Likes the bed I bought for her
- Behaves well when trimming nails
- Won't extend claws or bite unless provoked
- Doesn't resist when being scolded
After spending some time together, today I finally took the cat out voluntarily by force while the weather was good. She has a decent amount of courage and quickly started exploring before lying down to enjoy the sunlight.
Who can resist a kitten in the sunlight?
Kitten climbing a tree
Looking down on the cat grass that grew
After spending some time together, this cat only has one characteristic: looking down on people, nothing else.
Retail and other temptations don't have much effect on her, and she was only fascinated by catnip the first time I gave it to her, but her reaction has been minimal since then. Although it's my first time raising a cat, I feel like we get along well. During the day, I don't let her sleep and just play with her, otherwise, she will run around and meow at night, and it's really hard to endure. (On the first day when she arrived home, I was so tired.)
For now, I really like the kitten and I want to take her out often and become a social cow, taking her for walks everywhere.
